President Sandra Hurlong meets with local Artisans in Granada to Explore Education Funding for Artisans
In support of Intercultural Open University Foundation’s mission for social responsibility and the European celebration of the Days of the Artisan, President Hurlong met recently with artisans in the Barrio Realejo of Granada. IOUF’s European headquarters is located in the midst of various workshops where master craftsmen work. Europe’s economic crisis has affected sales of many goods produced by artisans in Spain. Classical guitar makers have begun to explore the market in China for their guitars. IOUF is exploring the funding of cultural exchanges to promote Spanish handicrafts in China.
