Objective:

I have been fortunate to have taught in a variety of educational settings, such as primary and secondary schools, further education, universities and as an instructor, HM Prison Service, and North Yorkshire Police. My aim is to use my skills as a qualified teacher, mentor, and teacher trainer to continue stimulating learning across a range of entry levels and age groups using my strengths in the plan and design of interactive learning materials.

2007 - February 2012, Axarquia Academia Freelance Professor (Profesor Atonomo)

Working within the Spanish state and private education sectors on a freelance consultancy basis.  Teaching subjects such as English, Business Studies, Sociology , Philosophy , Peace Keeping Studies, Educational leadership and student mentoring to a wide range of age groups and entry levels. Teaching and educational consultancy included the following projects:

January 2011- February 2012, Director of Studies (Profesor Atonomo)

Responsible for establishing an English Department within a local private school, liaising with Government departments, schools , universities corporations and other client groups. Designing learning materials assisting with advertising and promotional events. Advising on examinations criteria

November 2010-January 2011,  Cataluña Generalitat Professor

Teaching English and Business Studies within the Catalan state and private education system. Teaching a variety of age ranges and entry levels including University undergraduate students.  I also invigilated UK examinations such as Cambridge and Ed Excel and conducted interim student assessments and reports.

2009-2010, Kuwaiti Ministry of Defence Senior English Teacher

An instructor with the Kuwait Ministry of Defence, training military officers in TEFL and Peace Keeping Studies. Conducting Teacher Training.

2007-2009, Spanish Minister of Interior Freelance Professor (Profesor Autónomo)

Designing and delivering learning materials in Leadership Studies for the Guardia Civil and Local Police using English for Specific Purposes.

2006-2007, University of Huddersfield Senior Lecturer

Whilst acting as the Module leader for the MA in Bioethics and Philosophy I was responsible for the plan design, delivery and assessment of interactive materials covering the range of course subjects; medical and professional English language, law, business studies, constitution, history, ethics and philosophy. Setting and marking examinations.

2002 - 2006   Keele University Lecturer

Conducting legal and historical research, teaching law, business, & invigilating examinations. I also conducted team teaching and peer review teaching assessment.
