Rio+20 United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development

Intercultural Open University Foundation Supports Side Conference Event at the Rio+20 United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development.

On June 15, 2012, Intercultural Open University Foundation (IOUF) was honored to be an organizing partner with Worldview Impact Foundation, Government of South Africa, Women, Environment and Development Organization (WEDO), Environmental Education Media Project (EEMP), Global Youth Action Network (GYAN), and Taking it Global (TIG) in framing the challenges on sustainable development policies.
The side conference event was facilitated by IOUF Fellow, Dr. Bremley Lyngdoh. It was agreed that a successful outcome from the Rio+20 conference would be to call attention to the need for governments and educational institutions to create learning systems so as to understand what is working, what is not, and what are the potential options.
