IOUF Signs a partnership agreement with Universidad Azteca and Universidad Central de Nicaragua

The President, Board of Governors, and Faculty of the Intercultural Open University Foundation are pleased to announce that PhD learners will now participate in an Accredited International Double Degree Program offered jointly with the Universidad Azteca (UAzteca) and the Universidad Central de Nicaragua (UCN).  Upon successful admission to the dual degree program and the completion of the IOUF PhD degree, the graduating learner will be awarded a PhD degree from UAzteca and UCN.  Both UAzteca and UCN will be validating the IOUF degree in line with the academic requirements of the partnership.

The Universidad Azteca residential and international programs are recognized and accredited by the Federal Secretary of Public Education (SEP) of the United States of Mexico. UAzteca is listed with the United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organizations (UNESCO) and the International Association of Universities (IAU).

The Universidad Central de Nicaragua is accredited by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Nicaragua. UCN is listed with the United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organizations (UNESCO), International Handbook of Accredited Universities published by the United Nations, and the International Association of Universities (IAU).

The President, Board of Governors, and Faculty decided that offering IOUF graduates an accredited degree through institutional cooperation would strengthen the position and role of our change agents in working toward social change. This international partnership, along with the Hextlearn Validation from the European Commission, establishes a very credible role for IOUF in distributed education.
