What IOU Graduates Have to Say

Rene Goris, PhD, 2009 http://www.orientalcollege.org/
Director, Oriental College, NL
As a result of my studies, I developed and became the director of the International Oriental College in Amsterdam.
The mentoring concept developed by the Intercultural Open University Foundation provided me with the proper educational environment that enabled me to include and refine my many years of experience and research in oriental medicine.  I received excellent support from my dissertation professors, the President, and the Board of Governors. The Intercultural Open University Foundation continues to support and advise the International Oriental College graduate programs.

John Knight, PhD, 1997, LMHC, http://www.coastalcarecounseling.com/
Licensed Counselor and Corporate Consultant, USA
The general psychology study that I completed at the Intercultural Open University Foundation was some of the best quality education of my academic career.
I felt that my dissertation research and course development were the definite strengths of the program.  My general knowledge in psychology served me well in passing the various credentialing boards and the passing of my therapist license in the State of Florida.

Lisa Shaffner, PhD, 2007, NCC, LPCMH, http://www.gbc.edu/faculty/shaffner/index.html
Licensed Counselor and University Instructor, USA
The faculty in psychology gave me the foundation to establish my career as a licensed therapist and instructor of psychology.
Intercultural Open University Foundation allowed me the freedom to use my clinical experience as part of my dissertation research.   I was an active participant throughout my entire educational process, from my dissertation proposal to its completion.  My attraction to Intercultural Open University Foundation was the highly credentialed faculty and its affordability.

Christopher Thomas, PhD, 2006
Human Rights Activist, India
I was able to use my social activist work with the Dalit population in India as part of my dissertation research.
The Intercultural Open University Foundation offered me the opportunity to study in the field of human rights.  My professors, one Dutch and one American, could not have been more supportive and encouraging.  It was such a pleasure to work with them, and my life is better because of my experience with this institution.
