Dr. Bremley W. B. Lyngdoh Appointed Fellow to the Intercultural Open University Foundation

The President, Dr. Sandra Hurlong, and the Intercultural Open University Foundation (IOUF) Board of Governors are pleased to announce that Dr. Bremley W. B. Lyngdoh will serve the Foundation as a Fellow to assist learners to develop programs that will help people around the world build a better life through social, environmental, and economic development. 

Dr. Lyngdoh is Project Director at The Mareeba Group, Director of International Relations at Global Plantations, Founder and Chief Executive Officer at Worldview Impact, Advisor at Taking It Global, Board of Directors at PCI Media Impact, Co-Founder at Global Youth Action Network, and Co-Chair at United Nations Commission on Sustainable Development Education Caucus.  He is now creating an ecological business for a sustainable future by mitigating climate change at the grassroots level through the creation of sustainable livelihoods for the poor in order to reduce poverty.

 
Dr. Muneo Yoshikawa Publishes a New Book
yoshikawaphotoDr. Muneo Yoshikawa, Intercultural Open University Foundation Board member, has published a new book, Philosophizing Encounters:  Life-Enhancing Mobius Principle.  He will commemorate the publication in a seminar and book signing on October 30, 2011, at the EHLE Institute in Osaka, Japan.  Dr. Yoshikawa is Professor Emeritus of the University of Hawaii, President of the Mobius Graduate School and Honorary President of the International Mentorship Association. The Mobius theory represents a 21st century intellectual paradigm and is a fundamental theory relating to life, the cosmos, health, business, and the environment.
 
IOUF SIGNS A PARTNERSHIP AGREEMENT WITH UNIVERSIDAD AZTECA AND UNIVERSIDAD CENTRAL de NICARAGUA

The President, Board of Governors, and Faculty of the Intercultural Open University Foundation are pleased to announce that PhD learners will now participate in an Accredited International Double Degree Program offered jointly with the Universidad Azteca (UAzteca) and the Universidad Central de Nicaragua (UCN).  Upon successful admission to the dual degree program and the completion of the IOUF PhD degree, the graduating learner will be awarded a PhD degree from UAzteca and UCN.  Both UAzteca and UCN will be validating the IOUF degree in line with the academic requirements of the partnership.

 
Sandra Hurlong, PhD, President of IOUF Appointed to Global Advisory Board of the Human Dignity and Humiliation Studies Group (USA)

Dr. Hurlong has been invited to serve on a very distinguished advisory board for the Human Dignity and Humiliation Studies Group. This social change group generates interdisciplinary research and disseminates information aimed at enhancing awareness of human dignity. The studies group applies creative educational methods and strategies, devises pilot projects, and advises on public planning policy. Dr. Hurlong will be attending the conference at Columbia University in December, 2011.
